Welcome Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail and Walking Garden Earth visitors.
Over the past five years, I have been completing a series of Plein Air paintings that celebrate the beauty and history of local agricultural communities. Through these works I have sought to capture the unique geography, weather patterns, and natural resources of Western New York. Increasingly conservation and sustainability issues have become central to my work.
This Summer we went on a five week Plein Air Painting Expedition out west. I completed 19 paintings (including 2 big commissioned works) on location in the National Parks and beyond, locations include: South Dakota Badlands, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, Garden of the Gods, South Park CO, New Mexico, and The Great Sand Dunes.
